PTOG melt pressure sensors (transmitters) are products specially designed for pressure monitoring of liquids, gases or paste substances at high temperatures. They must be in a liquid, gaseous or viscous flow state. Under normal use, the pressure does not exceed the upper limit of the measurement range, and the instantaneous pressure does not exceed 150% of the upper limit of the measurement range (based on the diaphragm surface). Any use beyond the above application scope does not comply with the regulations. In the installation sealing area of the melt pressure sensor (transmitter), if the pressure sensor (transmitter) is not properly installed or unloaded, there is a risk of media leakage. PTOG pressure sensors (transmitters) are usually packaged individually. At the threads on the front end of the rigid rod, the sensing diaphragm is protected by a protective cap. This protective cap should be tightened at all times during storage and only opened during installation. In order to clean the diaphragm, the sealing surface and threads of the sensor (transmitter) must have the same temperature as the melting point of the plastic. The diaphragm and sealing surface can be wiped clean with a soft cloth, and the thread line can be cleaned with a steel brush or copper brush. (Do not contact the surface of the diaphragm with the steel brush) When installing the pressure sensor (transmitter), you must pay attention to the sensor (transmitter) hole being within the size requirement range indicated in the following drawings. Assembly accuracy can be checked by testing bolts. Figure a shows the correct installation position, and Figures b and c show the wrong installation position. Before installing the sensor (transmitter), first clean up the impurities in the hole and between the thread teeth, and then coat the threads of the sensor (transmitter) with heat-resistant paste. Because the external and internal threads of stainless steel are easy to bite by the thread teeth, the biting of the thread can be avoided after applying the heat-resistant paste. When installing the sensor (transmitter), the installation force is crucial.
